This project deals with tracking interactions between real world objects and simulating the effects of the interaction in MR/AR e.g. a ball hitting a real table creates ripples as if the table is water; a pen touching a table to virtually paint patterns on it; a hand tapping a wall to create virtual cracks. The specific effects and context are up to the student but the main technical challenges are tracking contacts and then creating a virtual effect that is specific to the location of the environment and the space around it.
Pre-requisites: students should be taking or have completed modules on Computer Graphics and one of the following: XR or Computer Vision.
