Network Security and Applied Cryptography Projects 2026/27

I lead the Applied Cryptography Research Lab in Trinity. Our research group works with a number of ledgers such as Hyperledger Besu, Ripple’s XRP Ledger (XRPL), Substrate, Zcash etc. I have a number of projects on offer as outlined below. You will need to become familiar with some advanced cryptographic primitives and networking techniques during the course of the project. You will also need to quickly get up to speed on the specific ledger codebase that you will develop your architecture on and program your prototype.

  1. Forkless and Quantum-Safe Protocol for Post-Quantum Account Key Migration in Substrate-Based Blockchains

  3. Post-Quantum Cryptography and Blockchain-based PKI and Digital Certificate
  4. Post-Quantum Cryptography End-to-End Encryption Scheme for Instant Messaging Networks
  5. Post-Quantum Cryptography and Blockchain-based Zero Trust Architecture
  6. Digital Wallet with Support for ZKP
  7. STV based eVoting with Zcash – this is an extension of a platform that we have developed
