ELIGIBILITY: This project is for a student taking the online MSc in Statistics and Data Science.
Biodiversity and ecosystem function studies investigate the relationship between species diversity and the outputs of an ecosystem. This project will compare two different analytical methods for analysing this relationship, one an ANOVA type analysis that categorises species diversity levels and another regression type analysis that captures species-specific information as part of the analysis.
A dataset from an experiment investigating the relationship between plant species diversity and water supply on community yield will be analysed as part of the project.
