Exploring survival analysis 2

ELIGIBILITY: This project is for a student taking the online MSc in Statistics and Data Science.

Survival analysis refers to models and methods for survival data, that is, data on the failure of a system.  Usually this takes the form of times when failure occurs, with the failure referring to events like the system no longer working, or an accident, or some other adverse event.  The system may refer to some physical device, a network or a human.

In this project we will first explore the common statistical models and methods used in survival analysis. Then we will look at a specific survival data set and explore state of the art methods of analysing it and using the analysis to draw conclusions.

I may supervise 2 students on different aspects of this topic.  You can register interest either for this or Exploring survival analysis 1.
