[Taken] A micro-world to teach about the scientific method

Microworlds are a type of computer simulation which have proven to be very powerful tools with which to create effective learning experiences. (For example see one developed in a previous final year project how different Electoral Voting systems work.)

The scientific method is central to how science progresses but is not well understood by many people. This is particularly true in subject domains which are not as clear cut as others, for example as applied in Botany as compared to Physics. This project will develop a micro-world to help students (undergraduates or Transition Year secondary school students) to learn about the topic.

The project will be co-supervised with Dr. Silvia Caldararu from Botany
