The objective of this project is to explore the strength and limitations of the ARKIT in human movement detection. In this sense, a wrapper will be implemented to plug ARKit into a gesture detection module developed internally at TCD under the Motorsense project. This would allow an empirical comparison between ARKit and the Microsoft Kinect. Then, the results of such a study would lead to explore the potential of the combination of the two devices (ARKit and Kinect) in order to extend the range of gesture that can be detected.
