Compare censorship experienced in Ireland with another country

The project is to survey censorship measurement tools and data sets (e.g. https://ooni.org/ and similar), to compare and contrast those, and then use some subset of the identified tooling and data to compare the censorship situation for Internet users based in Ireland against the position of users based in some other country, to be agreed between the student and supervisor. It is likely
that some student familiarity with the other country will be beneficial. It will likely be necessary to re-run some tools in order to have commensurate results for both locales. If more than one student attempts this project they can work together on the technology and Irish survey parts but will need to work independently on the “other” country part. Note also that running censorship measurement tooling in some situations can expose people to danger, so care must be taken in running any tests. The project is not intended to deal with censorship of NSFW content and in paritcular not with CSAM content.
