Mutation analysis is a strong testing criterion that uses artificial defects to assess the quality of tests with a rich academic history [1]. Several tools have been proposed to apply mutation analysis to different languages [2-4] but the technique is still not mainstream. Previous work has tried to evaluate the level of adoption of mutation analysis by surveying open source repositories [5]. The goal of this project is to study the evolution of this adoption in the current world of AI-assisted software engineering.
