Improving existing REST API test generation methods

RESTful APIs are widely used to allow components of complex, distributed systems to communicate. Their prevalence means it is essential to test them and ensure that the APIs that the different components/systems expose are functional. Several tools exist to automatically generate tests for them [1] (RQs 8 and 9) [2] with different levels of success [4][5]. The goal of this project is to improve these methods, e.g., by improving the quality of the specification they are given as input using automated methods [6], as this has been identified as a limiting factor for these tools [7].
